Well, folks, I daresay that the inaugural year of the Oscar Betting Pool was quite a success. We ended up with 19 entries from 17 participants*, and the pot totaled out at $95. So, without further ado, here is a complete list of everyone's scores out of a possible 59:

The nominee that received the most votes was not "Titanic" for Best Picture, which received 15 votes. Three categories were correctly predicted by more people than Best Picture, and they were Best Original Screenplay (17), Best Director (18) and Best Original Song (18). The biggest surprises of the night were "A Story Of Healing" for Best Documentary Short, guessed correctly only by Marie Davis, and "The Full Monty" for Best Original Music or Comedy Score, which no one guessed correctly. The most popular picks that didn't win were "Four Days in September" for Best Foreign Film (12) and "4 Little Girls" for Best Documentary Feature (12).

Anyway, congratulations to the big winner, Andrew, and thanks to everybody for participating. I hope you all had as much fun as I did. I'll most certainly be doing this again next year, and the goals will be to double the pot, and also to put the entire process online for your electronic viewing pleasure. Thanks again!
